KUTGS took part in the Tommies and the Tariqs Project. It was a project by Global Arts Kingston to engage local communities across Kingston upon Thames in remembering World War One as a global affair which affected British born soldiers and members of the Commonwealth.
They have conducted research into this and interviewed a number of people with the commonwealth heritage who have ancestral links to WW1.
During the next stage of the project, GAK held a creative workshop with our school children on a Friday. The creative work produced by our children was displayed at the Rose Theatre on 16th April 2016.
